Head light

When you are going in to set-up at night do you use a head light or flashlight as you are walking in so you can see where you are going. I've always gone in with no light but have always wonder if it would scare off predators or not

If you go in with your light on, and scan as you go, you could pick up the eyes of a predator before it sees you,and you are hiding behind the light, so it can't see you.
then work it from there.

If you go in with your light off, they will see you and split before you set up.
