The approach

Ever take a new hunter with you and you get to the spot and they slam the car door...It Was  Over Before It Began. You do have to learn to get out of the car, push the button down and just push ever so slowly on the door to shut.. Using electronics to lock the door...It's Over then Too...
Hunted with a guy who had a farm..He started driving the vehicle into the middle of the land instead of calling where it was just legal...It Was Over Before It Began. Also walking in to far ....Each step you take and cover territory you could be scaring predators in that area... Make a stand close to where it's legal first..If you have no takers...Your next stand can be more deeper into the hunting area...

Clicking of the Necklace of Death as you walk in or it clicking with the Foxpro remote around your neck...It's Over Before It Begins...If your like me and do wear a Necklace of Death...Hang them from your neck but keep them inside you hunting jacket or coat up against your chest and the coat fabric.. No clicking that way..

Getting the farmers dog barking at you close quarters..It's Over Before It Begins..Dogs barking in the distance are not as much of a problem as one that tell everyone that your passing the house or barn on your way in...Come back to this farm when Rover or Junior is now in the house.. 1:00  AM  etc.

Using hunting boots that go CLUMP CLUMP CLUMP CLUMP CLUMP as you walk in...It Is Over Before It Begins.

Ammo that goes click click click in your pocket....Let see? Yep It Over Before It Begins.

Gun parts that rattle!! What did I want to Say? It Is Over Before It Begins.

Taking in to much equipment...the possibilty for objects to make noise..It Over Before It Begins. Make it simple.

Had this happen twice the other night.Had a huge open field with a small island of trees in the center of it that is a good setup if you can make it there undetected.Well I almost made it but 30 yards from the island I picked up eyes way out yonder at 250 yards.Their I was in the middle of the field with no cover not even a cornstalk and a fox staring at me.Dropped down on my knees and  started squeaking. The fox came running but wouldn't come real close because I was exposed.Took the best shot I could and pretty sure I hit it but couldn't find it in the dark.I will look for it in daylight. And then after all that I picked up more eyes at 300 yards or more and played with him for 10 minutes with no success.I was thinking the hole time that I should have used a different approach but at least the wind was in my favor.

i used to have a necklace of death but then i wanted something quieter so i bought a MOLLE vest and bought pouches to accomadate my calls and even have a pouch for my gun light battery. one of my better ideas except make sure the pouches don't have velcro

I've been noticing a real problem with plastic to plastic clicking on my approach and stand. Between my FX5 remote and one mouth call and the plastic clips to my turkey vest, it seems the norm to me. I will have to adjust. Thanks for pointing out some of the obvious UB.
