For your scanning lights, what is the lumen rating that you guys use? Is 50 lumens enough?

Also as per Pete Hauer seminar.. He addressed the distance ratings on shooting lights is when it has the white lens or whtie light.  Once you put a red lens on any of these lights it drops the shooting distance down.. He claimed by 1/2 what it's rated.. So the lights rated for 100 yards are really on 50 yards with a red lens...
