Close Quarter PA Coyote.
« on: November 09, 2013, 08:40:03 AM »

PA Coyote 15 yards with the 17 Mach IV using a Hornady 20 grain Vmax bullet.  Called the set with a crosswind to the northwest.  The coyote was shot at the four minute mark and responded alone and silently.  Although not what I consider a hard charger it was very committed and never stopped trotting in until I checked it up at 15 yards for an easy frontal shot.  It was a night time hunt twenty minutes after midnight.

I normally run the EWT Kill Light XLR 100 on my head for scanning and the XLR 250 for shooting.  I have piles of lights from over the years and they all worked for me.  I find its more important as to how you run the light as opposed the name on the side of the light.  The EWT has been good to me over the years so far but, like I said most out there are fine.  Pick what fits your style and price range and layem down.

Congrats on the yote!!! You're right tho most of the light out there are good and ya gotta use what works for you.  I use EWT 250 for scanning and my partner Jack orders us lights from China that are inexpensive but holy dogs balls is that thing bright.  Double 18650 batteries red led I fell in lust as soon as I got mine ya know.  If anyone is interested in the lights send me a PM.  I had to work last night and Jack Zapped a big ole male with teeth broken and worn down.....so exciting every doggone time I'm out there!!  Keep your powder dry!  Still waiting to learn how to skin a Grizz tho....
