Sept. Coyote kills

Recently there was a post where it was implied that a fair number of deer hunters were shooting coyotes in deer season and letting them lay in the woods to rot. I can understand why this practice is frowned upon when you shoot one that is in near prime condition as far as the fur is concerned.

My question is, what do you guys do with a Coyote that you shoot in September, (or Aug, etc), when the pelt is far from prime?

(Since I assume the answer to the above is "nothing", the next question would be, then why is this practice not also frowned upon)?

i mostly do skull mounts.

I hunt July, August & September. Only ADC (animal damage control) work, not for fur at this time of year.
It's a challenge to single out one problem Coyote. For the most part, folks want all Coyotes removed when I talk with 'em.
It's serious work when someone has livestock being killed or they fear Coyotes roaming close to their buildings or home. It's not a joke or hobby or casual calling at this point.
ADC work is a different ball game from fur hunting.

This summer I received the most complains.

Skull mounts here too. I only started hunting yotes last year because my fox population is suffering bad.
