Maine Coyotes
« on: November 09, 2009, 05:59:35 PM »
Just got back from a week in the Maine woods deer hunting. What a bust, the worse I have ever seen it. Ted and I got on a buck Friday and followed him all day, thanks to a 6 inch snow, no opportunity for a shot. The sad part wasn't not getting the deer but going for miles and not cutting another track. The check board at West Forks had 5 deer checked after 7days of hunting and Jackman had 2....very sad..Anyway they seem to have a healthy coyote population, we stayed with fifteen mile stream lodge, clean, good food, nice people...anybody interested should check their web.....fifteenmilestrream.com......12hrs from my home in Perry Co.

Jaspr thanks for the info about the coyote populations...I have been thinking about going to Maine someday to hunt coyotes....I will check out the web site and save it for one of my favorites...

Sorry to hear about the deer hunt...However knowing you, come the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving Ted and you will be dragging one or two out in good old Pennsylvania... Good luck to you here I hope you two score...
