Anyone ever use a 218 bee for fox and coyote?

No I had one once. Got rid of the rifle. Favoered the hornet. No particular reason. All my friends used and had hornets. The bee was accurate. Shot a couple turkeys and a deer with it. Always liked the BEE. A little more expense to shoot. If you handload use it.

Hard to believe you could take a deer with a 218 but I had another old timer say the same thing. If you had to rely on factory loads it would diffently be an expensive caliber to shoot. The other thing that hurts that caliber is it was only chambered in one bolt action rifle and that was the Winchester 43, unless you like using a lever action that's your only choice.Ballistically its Superior to the hornet but just never really made it for several reasons.

i thought they made them in the model 70 too.  they are not a real good deer rifle unless you take neck/head shots.  a friend of mine found that out last year.  i think he had to shoot it 4 times before it was all over.  but i cant comment on shot placement or what bullet he was using.  i would love to have one though, my father had one growing up and he said it would go clean through a plow blade at 100 yards.
