Heckle & Jeckle, I'm actually the ole guy marking every other stump. I was making 'kick backs' while trying to fight thru 4 layers to find 'it'.
Lookn2Hidefromu2 has noting to hide. I learn some trapping things from him the other week. Jake & Lookn did a great job on our trip up north. We had a blast, caught some fur, ate like Kings & slept like a log. Lookn2getcrockpot&coffeepotready & I caught the same amount of Fox. No Bobcat or Fisher came thru that week. We caught what came by. Jake was farting alot. Maybe that's why critters shied from his sets. :)
As far as the ATV...well, that broke a few days in. ;D The next few days we had to walk the 17 mile wilderness trapline loop, which was up hill, BOTH WAYS. Fortunately, we all packed snowshoes. We traveled as much as we could thru the Tamaracks where the snow wasn't up to our hip pockets.

What a week at Jake's Country Club. When we meet again, ask me about my near death experience with that wood stove. Also ask about, how I threw a trap grenade (set trap) directly on Lookn4cover. Plus, Pulling a wild animal from under an upturned tree root ball. Along with the ATV A-arm breaking. All this and more while experiencing a three day diarrhea squirt fest. (I lost count at 14 times in 20 hours)
I will said Jake is a great host. Great Food. One thing I found interesting was Jake has an Indian woman, named Neverrinse of the local tribe, cook breakfast & evening supper for us. She said her father was Chief Dirtyneck of the Neverwash tribe. Neverrinse's husband, twofingers, is a logger.

It was definitely a great time. I learned that 90 degrees in the cabin is to hot for old farts. Combine that with a lazy boy recliner and everyone goes to sleep. However, if you go to Camp with Hern, buy him a watch first. For him , the day is half over at 8 am. Wake up time is 0400 and bed time is an hour before dark. And finally, if you have to bucket flush the toilet.... have LOTS of buckets!!! Air freshener is also recommended

1) Froze to the bone. Well...my fingers are froze. Was out this morning scouting & getting some trapping/calling locations ready. Also replenished bait piles. Got home, fed Birds & Deer in back yard and took the outside Christmas decorations down. Started the tractor, atv & '92 pickup and let them run awhile. Now that I'm inside for the day, I plan to Sno-Seal two pair of leather boots. I think I'll finally watch some football today. Are there College games on? Penn State?
2) heck NO. Must go by ALL PA. LAWS Not against the rules to wear long johns, wool socks, wool shirt, insulated bibs, coat, beanie hat, snow camo, gloves, hand warmers or thaw fingers with car defroster. Jaspr, put the can of STERNO under your chair in the blind, a real live hot seat.

Hern Good for you braving the cold. I was going to try some cable restraints but with this cold weather it did not sound fun to me. The wife goes in for hip surgery this week so I will not get any cable restraints in for another year. I think my hunting and trapping season has ended for this year.

Hern, This was my first time ever out ice fishing. Do these pics represent a good catch for 20-30 minutes worth of fishing? Keep in mind we threw that many or more back coz they were to small. This seems too easy? I didn’t even have a chance to get cold.... As a matter of fact, I just left my gloves off coz I got tired of putting them on then taking them off to release the fish.

Any time....L@@kn2fish The girls even BYOB (cabin rules). They are wearing Muck boots & fur hats I gave them, so they didn't get cold. Hats-(l. to r.) Rachel, Red Fox, Jill, dyed Beaver & Alicia, Sheared Beaver. Kayla & Kyla (not pictured) showed up later with Coyote & Mink hats. These girls are crazy, but keep me young.

Hern I can see why you guys like ice fishing. Nice flat area to walk on and you can bring a lawn chair out and sit down drink a few beers. Good times!! The cool thing is each of those girls had their own ice hole you can put your rod in. They look friendly enough if you just ask them to use their hole they probably let you. Yep, just drop your rod in. It just don't get any better than that. Has me wondering what kind of fish are in that Lake?

We are speaking of my nieces, Buckwheat. They bring their own camp chair (camp rules). Knowing them, they would tell you where to drill your own ice hole and where to stick your rod...lol. We caught Perch, Bluegill & Crappie that day. All too small for frying pan. We don't walk, snow machine & side by side in background. ;D

:) Well I haven't chimed in because the "Girl's" told me to keep quiet :-X because of Uncle Hern! ;) I spent most of the day in the back seat of Crème Puff giving individual instruction ::) in snake handling :o to the ladies! ;D ;D No cold for me and No fish either :P but I can always go to the store for fish ;D Meanwhile "No Bull" is trying to figure out what the Old Bull is talking about! ??? ???
