Title: Archery Kills
Post by: Hern on October 07, 2017, 04:58:21 PM
Any having any Luck?

Friday morning, my friend Bill shot a Buck.
After waiting an hour, he trailed it and jumped it. Then backed out.
He called me to help track and said to meet him at noon.
Not bleeding good, it was tough going to a Y in the trail. Bill went one way, I the other way.
Nothing either way.
So I went 25 below us to search some thick stuff.
I spotted him laying below thick blowdowns. We didn't lay down there, but did a nose dive in the dirt.
Nice 6 pointer. 16" inside spread.
Expanding Broad Head still in his shoulder blade...

Here's Bill where Buck fell

Not bad looking buck. I have personally not made it out yet.

I shot a big doe Thursday evening. 20 yard shot and she had me at full draw for ever, back and forth she wouldn’t stop, finally I was able to get a shot off and she dropped in her tracks. Spine shot wasn’t what I wanted but it makes the track job easy.
