September Coyote Hunt
Hosted by Districts 3,4 and 5
As with all hunts you must be a member of the PPHA
All PA games laws must be followed
This hunt is open state wide to all members
This is a calling only hunt. No dogs.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS 9/11/17. Dues must be received no later than this date.
***WE HAVE PUSHED DEADLINE TO 9/16***
This hunt will start Saturday September 23rd at 12:01am. Weigh-ins will be between the hours of 12pm and 2pm Sunday September 24th. No animals will be accepted before or after these times. Weigh in location will be at 350 Gates View Rd. Howard Pa, 16841. Kill blocks will be utilized for this hunt. Details on those will be located in the Members Only section of the forum closer to hunt time. That will also be where you declare your entry into the hunt.
The 2 heaviest coyotes weighed will win this competition
Heaviest coyote will take home $400
2nd heaviest coyote will take home $200
You may win both prizes
In the event of a tie in weight, prizes will be split
This is a bit of a change in hunt format for the PPHA. We would like to get some actual interaction amongst our members and also try to entice some new people to get involved with the association. I want to thank the other officers for helping out and I hope to see some current members participate and some new ones as well. Would be nice to see this be a successful event for everyone. Its for members. We will have a thread started in members only section which is where you declare entry and get the final details for the blocks etc..

Welcome aboard 12ga_Rage. There is also a members only section. Since you just payed, you probably don't have access to it yet. It takes a little time cross referencing paid PPHA members from forum members. We'll get your access permissions done soon. If you are unable to gain access to that area in the future, please bring it to our attention so we can correct it. Thank you.

I paid my membership today, would also like to sign up for this hunt ,looked on the members only page and didn't see anything , or maybe being a new member didn't get to view the newest post ?

Welcome aboard K slim. Since you just payed your dues today. Your members only access hasn't been approved yet. It will be shortly once our Secretary gets it processed. The section you will look for will look like this.

Thanks for joining K Slim...you're membership came up for approval tonight so should be any day now..as stated, there is a thread started in the members only area to declare yourself in..once you get cleared to access that section you're good to go..just hold tight a couple days..glad you're joining in the hunt. What post do you mean? You already signed up on the coyote hunt thread in the members only section under PPHA events. The kill block info post will be made just prior to the start of the hunt.

What is the rules to keep the coyotes cool in this 80 degree temperature

I don't know the RULES...BUT
:o Ink'r, I hope you put your Coyotes in a walk in cooler or freezer until weigh-in. Phew... :-\
If you want the hide tanned, skun it right away. Then cool hide and keep it cool.
Just take hide and carcass to weigh-in.
If you don't keep Coyotes cool, Blow Flies & Larva may add an ounce to overall weight ;D
But the heat and Sun with cause rapid dehydration/weight loss to a dead Coyote.
