Title: New Beam and Fur table
Post by: Hern on October 13, 2011, 07:08:53 PM
I added a fur bench and new beam to the shed.
Made wooden slot to hold back of beam in place.
Made 2, 'L' shaped brackets, fastened with lag screws to hold front of beam. It's solid!

Nice !  Some day I will have a nice fur shed.  I just need to get enough fur to pay for it.  How do you like that necker for coons?

Necker is all I use for Coon and Coyote. Sometimes i may use the homemade (second on right) on tough spots because it's so darn sharp, but not too often.

Actually, I saved enough fur money over the years to finally build this shed (90% of it) with room to add on. I cut my own trees and had a portable mill come in and cut the lumber I needed. Wife, nephew and I built it.

Lookin good Hern!  Why not make it removable?  Just take the two botom bolts out and put in some kind of pegs or turn bolts around and countersink the nut?  Just a thought......

Renny, beam will be removable. I have carriage bolts and wing nuts for bottom bracket. Just used lag screw for quick pictures. May just take lag screws on/off for this season and see how that works. It's solid and Renny and Leglifted can sit your drink on beam with little worry about spills while you help me skun critters. ;D
It doubles as drink holder... ;D
