Title: Wet Fur...
Post by: Hern on November 17, 2010, 02:23:44 PM
How do you deal with wet fur?
Having fans in your fur shed is a great aid.
Dealing with wet fur adds extra time to proper put up.
When back at truck, wet Fox, Coyote and Coon we can begin the drying process.
Newspapers draws water. Wipe wet critters with newspaper and lay on newspaper until you get home.
Before skun'n, make sure all burrs are combed out of fur.
Skun critter and hang in front of fan until fur dries.
Soak'n wet Coon, Note fan in background...

I like this method, place wet Coon on a board. This spreds him out to dry faster...

Todays Coon look like drowned rats at this point.
I will post pictures tonight or tomorrow of dried, combed, ready to flesh Coon.
