I served, 61-64, US Army infantry. As my ETS neared I thought to re-up if I could get helicopter school (Warrant Officer). Was turned down, so I left and went home. Joined the PD , and here I am, older and retired.  Guess I was lucky. A lot of choppers went down.

Yes Sir!  Navy Aviation Ordnance (AO2). Did everything from AIMD Armament (Miramar), F-14 Squadron Ordnance (Miramar/CVN 64/CVN 62), Station Weapons Range/Armory Division Armorer/Small Arms Instructor (Miramar), CVN-73 Range Safety Officer/SRT 3 Team Leader, Base Security (Norfolk), and a short stint with EODMU 3 (Coronado).

Lots of Miramar.....and yes, I watched a good bit of filming for Top Gun. We actually hung the camera pod on a modified weapons rail with a Bru 10 adapter! hey....it worked...LOL
