You ain't a trapper unless you caught yourself a few times.
Usually a thumb for me but it's been awhile.
One time a #330 conibear snapped and caught my waders, coat and shirt while I was standing waste deep in ice water. Scared the heck out of me. Waded to shore and had a heck of time getting it off.

Both thumbs in a #3N double longspring

:-\ :-\ Ouch!! :o :o :o

A couple years ago i caught my whole hand in a 120 already staked. Black and blue on top of my hand where I pulled my nuckles through. I would have pooped my pants with a 330 Hern.

When I was young I always had trouble setting double longsprings. Seem to get both thumbs caught at same time. And that's hard to get out...lol. I had to bend over and put trap on ground and step on both springs to release myself.
