I went out Sat morning with my new Foxpro. This mangy guy came running into my decoy after only about 10 min. I barked to him twice, he stopped to look at me and I let the 22-250 fly. A couple of seconds of him chasing his tail he crumpled up and was done.

Did you call it in on distress calls???
-
Yes. I started with a rodent distress for a couple of minutes. Then I paused for a minute and proceeded to use a cottontail distress. Next thing I know he was to my left head down and going straight to the decoy in the field.
I barked once but he didn't hear me so I barked louder again. He heard me,stopped and looked right at me. Bam! 22-250.
At that point he went into a death spin for a few seconds and then piled up. It was awesome.
Funny thing is I walked up the field from my left. So when he came out of the wood line he broke my scent. Where I hunt there are a lot of humans walking around some hunting some not. So I guess the smell didn't seem strange to him.
