I was the adams county/ Cumberland border this weekend, Friday was to windy to hunt we went out Saturday morning driving around. all the tracks we saw were at the bottom of the hills nothing ontop of the mountains and looked like all singles ,but we saw deer tracks up on top, is this pretty normal for what you experienced guys see? is it males looking for females ? just wondering

Its not uncommon for most animals in general to stay low and on the flats during the wind. Its not as "loud" in the woods for them. They aren't much diffrent than us....they like to stay out of the elements also.

Canines hunt by their noses.
The less wind swirling there is, the better they can home in on the direction and location of a food source.
