Title: thoughts on heavy snow
Post by: takemrarely on December 13, 2013, 06:29:04 AM
So they are calling for heavy snow, (4-8 inches), to begin Saturday and taper off late Saturday night / early Sunday morning.

What is the conventional wisdom regarding predators and how this storm and time frame will impact them?

Common sense says they hole up during the storm and come out when it stops.....any other thoughts?

I like large pine thickets while the deep snow is on

Might be a good opportunity to set up a coyote bait site...

I historically seem to have better luck after a storm than before a storm.  Also, better luck when snowing than raining.

This predator likes to wait the storm out.
