It's been a strange season so far in my area . On a normal night my partner and myself do about 5 sets min . We hit beltzville state park , Bethlehem water authority lands . The food plots near Jim Thorpe . And shoot over the the game lands off rt 100 . The first night out made things look real promising . We had some nice action . It was opening morning for small game . That was the last real action .
Since that day I've had a deer sneak up and snort down my neck . Deer investigate a pile of stands . But very little dogs .
We went out last night with the thought . Storms on it way in . Clear night . No moon . Nice breeze . First few stand were long walks in and seen nothing . The next was a field we never set at . Got busted by a fox in the tree line . Wind kept changing direction and he caught into us before we could even start . That was also a nice walk in . But it was promising as we got busted so it showed they were out there . That was the last of the movement we seen . Besides eyes that were well over 300 away in the next field .
So far I'm at 0 for 6 . But I took my gun for a lot of nice walks and am in better shape now . ( at least better then the first stand of the season )

I called in 1 yote and missed before deer season and that was all I have seen. I usually try to save some of my spots for late season during the coyote contests, but I may have to dig into the bag. Gonna wait until after deer season and hit a few private spots. I personally tend to wait until the fur is prime and that seems to be a downfall when hunting a lot of public land as most people don't wait.
