I have a 223 and I was thinking of reloading some Nosler partions what are your thoughts. I was thinking of using them next year in fox season
-
I compare reloading 223, the best I have came up with is with a 40 Gr. jacket Spitzer or V max still pushing out close to 3500 F.P.S. Bullet Energy of 1088 Approx Distance 3500 Yrds. depend on Barrel Length (Avg. 20" )
-
1088 at 3500 yards??
-
No not at. The 40 grain Bullet traveling at 3500 fps that was.... Aprox max Distance!!!!!!
-
I've reloaded my first set of bullets with v max just haven't been able to shoot them yet
-
V max is the way to go.... hope the weather gets better for you to send them down range.. :D
-
So do i

BullDog, Every time that you hit a Fox w/that load you will wind up w/at least 2 Fox. Dick

Jake, I don't understand what you were saying about " the best that you could do...close to 3500 fps". Hornady #8 has 7 powders w/22 loads over 3500 fps and 13 loads over 3600. Nosler #7 has 7 powders and21 loads over 3600. Any one of which w/a 40 gr. V-max will destroy a Fox. Dick

The last few critters i shot i didt blow them apart little hole in little hole out with 40 gr v max

The Load I Told you about Bulldog, Was good, all It did was poke a hole for me and was fast hitting and good knock down power.. ;)
