Brother in law and i got in the big hunt this past weekend. The coyotes were responding but not as aggressive as what they been in the past this time of year but still able to respond to the call. Shot this female saturday night around 12:30am. Moon was at its brightest at this time of the night and had to deal with a pole light. After talking about the set up for like 10 to 15 min decided to put up a stand.
After setting up 5 mins later this female showed itself then left. It took another 5min to bring her out in the open got a shot off around 100 yards. After trying for another 15 to 20 min gave up on her partner and moved on.
The very next stand around 1:30 am after trying to call in another pair that I failed to call in. A very nice red came into the call after using coyotes vocals then switching to the bunny blues. Go figure
