Any guys kill over six coyotes a year?
-
I'd be happy with just one !!
-
Not yet....lol!
-
For as much as I go out afield, I should!
-
I killed my first this year but i do thinkwe call more of them in
-
Not yet...but i'm chasing them....Pred

Haven't killed any this year. Neither have I been out hunting for them. Either I am to busy or to lazy you decide. With 2 little boys at home its tough for me to leave them in the evening and go hunting. Now trapping is a different story. Previous years I got from 2-10 yotes in a season.

No. I have three confirmed called in this year but no shots taken and who knows how many unconfirmed. I live in fox country but they are here just not a lot of them. My time afield is also low this year.
-
Last year called in more than you can count on both hands, this year I didn't see any.Whats up with that?I agree 100% that more are called in and not seen than you realize. They are very good at that.Lookn4fur,we need to work on getting you out of the house more!!

I don't have a problem getting out of the house, just a problem getting out to hunt. At least I was able to get fox for both of my boys this year. They also both shot buck this year. I will take that every year.
Foxtrot, did you ever think you nocked the numbers down along with the trappers that it may take a year for them to re-populate? I know a lot of people say you can wipe them out and I agree with that but I do think you can slow them down for a couple years.
I have an unbelievable amount of predator hunters around me know that could care less about permission. Just when you think your all alone. NOT!

Trapping hurts predator hunters terribly. 8 of 10 fox are taken by trappers. I stopped trapping a while back because I preferred hunting critters and I knew if I trapped em my hunting experience would drop.
-
I do agree the trappers thin them out pretty good.Something else I noticed this year was a huge increase in feral cats.In one case 6 were called in on one farm, what does that do to the food supply?
-
Yeah, I am sure that doesn't help matters.

See, us no good trappers do some good sometimes. You won't find any feral cats in my area ;D
