Welcome....I'm new as a member myself, and I've already learned a lot of useful tips!
-
Welcome aboard Howie! Great to have you. Where are you located? Might want to introduce yourself to your district coordinator.
-
Thank you for the greetings. Seeking, I am in district 5, live in Waterford Pa. Who is my district coordinator for my area.
-
I was new last year and this is an awesome club full of great people who love to share their wisdom and hunting experiences with each other. I plan to sign on for another 3 years even though they jacked up the cost of membership.

You should get a district list with your paid menbership?
-

In about 5-7 weeks I will be joining and paying my dues. I had foot surgery on the 17 th of jan and been out of work, and missed some beaver trapping and being out looking for the yotes. Thanks for the name of the coordinator in my area leglifter. From what I have read on here so far there is a lot of good info. When your on your butt all day long you get to do a lot of reading magazines, books, forum searching and watching the predator hunting and trapping shows on tv. Stinks not working but gathering a lot of info

Howie,
I am also in d5, in Ellwood city, southern lawrence co
I also trap
-
Your about a 1 1/2 - 2 hours away. You have any luck trapping this year. I didn't do to bad, had fun running the coon dog, till issue with foot, I'll just have to hit it harder this year and try to get predator hunting as well.
-
I haven't trapped as hard as I should for the last 4 years.
Every year I tell myself "next year I trap hard"
But I'll tell you now, I will trap hard next season!!

I was going to trap but I shot them all. Ended up with not spots to set a trap. Can I come up there and trap?
-
Sure! what do you want to trap?
-
You do any bobcat trapping or hunting where you are at leglifter. Or should I ask are there any in your area.
-
Cats have been here for 20 + years but in my WMU (1a) Cats are not open for harvest.
So I have to travel for them, We have called in 1 per year but no shots, and my trapping time has been limited to one or two days per season

Yea, a video! I like to see if you can put a 16 footer in your back pack by your self. You could be like a swamp man. Tim the swamp snake man

Could I get your input on a couple of things. I am wanting to get a FoxPro e caller and a 223 when I get back to work. Will those work for a newbie. Not wanting to spend a arm and a leg. I called the dealer and told him my location and he said the wildfire would work for me in my area for just starting out. I have chose a 223 by just what other people have posted. Any ones opinion would be appreciated.
-
I think a wildfire and a .223 would be a deadly combination in any area no matter what experience the hunter has.
I'd say youre on the right track
Buckwheat,
stay on those meds!!

Newbie myself...Hey bud!
