Title: 20gr vs 17 gr hmr
Post by: jerad188 on November 09, 2012, 06:57:10 PM
Is the 20 grain .17hmr noticeably more affective on shooting fox or other critters, compared to the .17 gr? Besides the velocity I was just curious if I should you the bigger bullet.

Thanks

20 grain has a very slight advantage over the 17 grain.Thats what I would use if shooting factory ammo.

17gr works great for me. Every red or grey I've ever shot has dropped in his tracks from a 17gr V-Max.
