Hi guy's
            got a question for ya! y in the world can't i call in a red fox ? I'm using a FOX PRO on it i have been using rabbit in destress , fed fox distress , fed fox pup in distress and getting nothing what am i doing wrong  >:(

Could be a couple things. Maybe there's not one in hearing distance? The fox may have seen you enter your stand, if he's been called and or shot at already and he knows better. Calling and changing sounds to fast?

Lazy Lizard,It could be a lot of things.Is there Reds in your area?How long are you staying on stand?Reds take a little longer at times.Your call selection isn't all bad but something a little more subdued like a rodent or bird or even a bulb squeaker would help.Remember reds aren't as aggressive as greys so call accordingly.

If you ever see a fox out spotting , go out and hunt it a little later. From what ive noticed foxs stay in the same area, unlike some coyote packs around here that seem to travel a big 5 mile loop.  Calling where you KNOW there's a fox can be easy if u slip in in-noticed and there hungry. And it builds confidence while also getting your heart rate up!

Most likely it is the wind or no fox in the area.  Make sure your scent does not enter the area you feel is holding the fox.  That is the biggie for me.  Might try low volume and then slowly work your way up.  If you have a bird sound try that too.  Have faith...one will show up.

Well guy's it's official i finlay called one in and I MISSED  :'( .....I'd like to thank all of you for your help it worked ...now it's on reds get ready lol

Jersey Reds love the woodpecker and the flicker on my old 532 Foxpro.  I hang it in a tree with the remains of an old stuffed rabbit just under it.  I guess everyone around here has a rabbit squeaker so they don't produce foe me.  Dick
