Good Job TFC2223,Are they ever all black or do they always have a spot of white somewere?
-
Awesome coyote!
Congrats!

Beautiful. What did you wack him with? Dick

Foxtrot, the ones that I have seen usually have white on them. Especially on the chest. This one has more white on it than I have ever seen. I have on one occassion saw an entirely black coyote. They are throught PA but, are in much fewer numbers compared to our normal phased PA coyotes that look like this picture.
Papa, He was shot with a 17 Mach IV using 20 grain Hornady Vmax bullets.

Dang forgot to attach the picture. Most of what I get in PA looks like these.

Thanks my patience was rewarded. I called another black one at the end of last season and my shot although possible it was at night and thru brush. I was afraid to wound it. It was very hard to hold off on what would have been an easy shot but, it was the right thing to do. I am glad to see that I was lucky once more with a better shot on such a trophy. Plowing brush is never a smart move with Vmax bullets. This one here was wide open at 29 yards. It doesn't get better than that for an easy shot. The 17 Mach IV did a fine job on anchoring this male.
