In certain parts of the state we are able to archery hunt 2wks before the rest of you fools. Well I'm just as a fool as the rest of yinz. Any ways while sitting here, in my stand, I realized how much I wish was fur season as a beautiful red strolls below my stand. October 21st can come soon enough

I hear ya. I've been calling in coyotes a lot more than I ever did and called in some reds. Once archery starts they will scatter and my sightings will go down, most likely. With the shedding of velvet comes the poaching and I just spoke with a WCO looking at a bow shot buck in dropped off behind the local KMart with it's rack and loins removed. The took the skin off the hind quarters and left all the meat on them. I'm so thankful that a fell in love with predator hunting about 7 years ago because I'm getting disgusted with deer hunters and all the seasons that go with it.

My mission this year is to get my deer quick so I can concentrate on predator hunting and the upcoming trapping season. Deer hunting is no longer my passion!!

I am with you Grass Stain. When I'm in the stand or sitting on the edge of a field bow hunting, I find myself thinking about fox and stands I should make later.

As years pass you will see you won't even care about deer like you do predators... I have gone out West hunting, Washington State, Arkansas, and Texas.... I could have gone wild boar hunting but all I wanted to do is hunt coyotes and bobcat...I use to hate it when the early black powder season was the same time as predator season...I was sitting up against a tree waiting for a doe to come along but my mind really was on predator hunting...It was kind of painful to be hunting doe when I could have been hunting fox...

I hunt co-op properties in Bucks co. for deer. This year started out bad. The property owners has giving permission to a guy to run/condition his dogs. The guy uses an atv to do so. It makes it hard to see any deer

Saturday was a beautiful day! You would think I got work done...nope...drove around almost all day talking to landowners and got permission from a few more farms to either hunt\trap for predators. Almost every one of them I have to wait till after deer season. Fine with me...just glad to pick up some new farms to try out. I love bowhunting whitetails! Have around 100 pics of a 130 inch 10 pt and a couple decent 9's as well. The big boy I wanted to find seems to have vanished. Many of these big bucks are poached.
