Gang,
The Bark at the Moon Coyote Club is pleased to announce its latest predator hunting challenge… NY vs. “Your State.”
Each weekend in January and February 2013, the Bark at the Moon Coyote Club members will challenge hunters from a particular state in a friendly, on-line contest for calling predators. Once a weekend has been established for your state, a roster will be developed and the hunters will post pictures of their success using a contest specific pose (note: The pose will be announced on Friday afternoon of each weekend).
More details…
- Contest is for calling, not dog running.
- Contest is for coyotes, fox, bobcats, mt. lions, raccoons.
- One point will be awarded for each predator.
- Pictures must be posted on the designated contest thread on the Bark at the Moon Coyote Club message board.
- Each states “weekend” will be announced on the BATMCC board and calendar.
- First come, first served for selecting weekends. Someone will have to “step up” and secure a weekend for your state.
- Roster will be finalized on Friday and only hunters who are on rosters will count for predator totals.
- Roster open to any number of hunters
- Contest will be promoted on Predator Masters Forum, various other boards and Facebook.
- This contest is for fun only! Bragging rights and an excuse to hunt is the reward!
-
Awesome! I participated in their NY state hunt last year. Oh what fun.
-
Redemption! The last time we did this Pa was under 2 feet of snow and ice. I love this contest..
-
Sounds Great! Count me in...will be hard to compete with all the yotes you guys have in NY but it will be a blast.
-
Sounds like a blast looking forward to it
-
How many mountain lions did the Penna team report taking last year? :)
-
Guys,
Select a weekend so I can lock it in for you.
Jan 12-13 is taken by ND
thanks,
Andrew
-
Earlier the better IMHO.
-
It will be tough shooting coon in jan/feb.
-
We probably won't get an answer until the new officer terms takes over in September. Then they will have to vote on a date ect.
-
Rarely see coon myself but one day late last February Musky73 was stacking up the coon.
-
You don't need officers to organize this for you. Have at it. Whatever date works out for those who are participating. Have fun and good luck.
-
Anytime in Jan.suits me, sounds like fun.
-
Any idea when the PPHA state hunt is gonna be this year? I vote for Jan 5th and 6th. Should we have a poll. Tim, I wasn't rying to step on any toes about the officers deciding. I meant that you guys decide what hunts the PPHA has and when. I didn't want this to conflict with what you guys might have going on. the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.
-
No problem. I didn't think you were stepping on toes, just thought you wanted us to set a date. You are correct about the officers setting dates for events but as you said that won't happen until the new term starts in September. Not sure when the State hunt will be yet.
-
Anytime this season will work for me. Sound like a good time.
-
Can't wait for this!!!! Should be fun however it is going to be tough keeping up with those guys from out west. Lets git er dun pa!!!!!
-
No need to worry about the guys out west... You willmbe going against NY
-
Then i am definetely not worried!!!! :)
-
Lets not sleep on this and "pick a date". Most people already said Jan so why don't we just pick a weekend and call it a day.

FYI... Weekend of January 19 & 20 is booked by Nevada
-
Andrew, Please put us down for the 5th and 6th before we lose the month of January. Ian
-
will do. :)
Spread the word here and build the PA roster as time passes.
-
Who should we get with to make sure our name gets on the roster???
-
Will do. Thanks! Just to be sure Andrew, They don't have to be PPHA members, right?
-
That is correct. Any one from PA can participate. Just place your name on the bark at the moon forum under the PA thread and I'll build the roster
-
So far I am the only person on the roster for this hunt in the Pa section. Why hasn't anyone else registered?

Anybody in Pa. The way I understand it you just tally up individual's kills.

Ok cool, how do I sign up just follow the link and post my name in a reply post?
-
Do you need to be registered on their forum to be placed on the roster
-
No, Swarter... You can do it as a guest. I update the roster as I see new posts. :)

Oops, I see you made it to the roster.
