Title: my 2011/2012 season results
Post by: foxfx on March 04, 2012, 04:19:55 PM

It's been a wonderful and fun season.  I've hunted several counties in the wonderful state of Pennsylvania.  I hunted one weekend in NewYork state in the "Bark at the Moon Coyote Club hunt" (placed third).

A special thanks to shortmagger for the awesome hunting times.  A special thanks to abolt for teaching me how to create beautiful looking belts from stinking, bloody critters.   And most of all, a special thanks to my patient wife who has supported my predator hunting and allowed me to convert our garage into a "fur shed".  A thank you to all the PPHA members who have contributed in making this forum fun.

Now it's time to clean the fox gear away and wait from groundhogs to expose their heads.

Thats is a great season! How many counties you hunt in Pa and how does the Bark at the moon hunt work? I mean is it coyote only or foxes to? Did you have a parnter in this hunt? What caliber did all this killing? Just curious. Again congrats on a great season.

Brushwolf.  My hunting in 2011/2012 covered 7 counties. I love to meet and hunt with different people whenever I can.  Bark at the Moon Club information here http://lewand.tripod.com/barkatthemooncoyoteclub/  .   I did have a partner in this hunt.  Red lighting with a 22hornet is what works for me.

foxtrot, All these pelts are PA fox.  I only shot three fox while hunting the two day NY tournament.  The weather was extremely foul.  30-40 mph winds and snow at times.
