Title: Attractant
Post by: jimmy_72 on March 03, 2012, 01:05:47 AM
Has anyone ever used a real rabbit fur while hunting fox and coyote. I picked up a road kill rabbit skinned it fleshed it and tanned it. Was wondering if it would work or if anyone has tried it.
Thanks
Howie

It will definitely work! I don't use a rabbit fur but I tanned a small coon that I hit on the road while trapping a couple years back and it works fine. I like to hang it in a small tree 5-8 ft above the ground or if I have my call out in a field I try and use corn stubble to prop it up. Just make sure a hawk don't carry it off.
