I was wondering how some of you other predator Hunters go about scent control.Do you make it a top priority, do you just kinda worry about it, do you not worry about it at all.
do you wash clothes in scent cover up keeping clothes out on porch.spray yourself down with scent elminator.do you use any animal scent urine, essence out skunk.

I just play the wind

I usually take a scent free bath before I go and my clothes are kept as scent free as possible. But as far as cover scents I have played around with it and it probably isn't going to hurt but its just one more thing you have to worry about and their going to smell you anyway if downwind. It might give you a little more time if they get downwind but not much.I have noticed when you have a few fox laying in the truck and they get downwind of the vehicle they will bark up a storm because they smell the fox in the truck. So it can have an attraction and it can be fun to play around with but in my opinion not really necessary.

thanks...well the way your doing fox trot is pretty much the way I've been doing it. Like I said I was just curios how others treated the situation.at least now I feel like i'm in the ball park.I wasn't sure if I was giving it enough attention

I don't do anything when hunting predators for scent control. Just archery deer.
