Title: What a Seminar!!!
Post by: my7pointmonster on February 17, 2012, 09:09:24 PM
Just got back from the outdoor times show here in Altoona. All I can say is what a seminar. Kirk Mckendree put on a heck of a show. No question was unanswered and no matter if your new to calling or an old pro you could easily take something from his seminar. I can't believe there weren't more people there. I hope to see more people tomorrow. He's doing two tomorrow at 11 and 4. Also make sure you stop by the boondock outdoor booth. He's got everything there. Hope to see way more tomorrow!!

Ryan.

Thanks guys.  My information on predator hunting has come to me due to many failures in the early years of when I first started.  I am glad that some of my information is useful to predator hunters.  It definitely makes seminars worth doing when you can help raise the bar for others.  No more talk about hunting at shows for a while time to get back into the woods where I belong most.  Again thanks!

Any new PPHA members from the show?

Seeking I met many fine folks at the seminars and some said that they were from HPA.  I am not sure if PPHA members were in attendance.  No one brought it to my attention if they are.  I think Ryan is now a member.  I am not a sponsor here so I don't advertise seminars and so on here.   Take care.

I'm shocked more people weren't there from the PPHA. Should have been all ppha guys. Never hurts to learn...

It would be great if the PPHA gave some applications for members to you to hand out at the show or to Boondock Outdoors.  This organization is so vital to anyone who loves to hunt predators in PA and wants to protect and preserve our future.

Seeking (Mike) I am not sure of Jeremiah's position on that I am not able to hand anything out on my end.  I just got off the phone with ol Boondock outdoors  a few moments ago lol.  I will try to remember to ask him the next time we talk.  Hopefully we can hunt if I can drag him out to help me with some new property that I am fooling around with lol.

Kirk is a hell of a guy to sit down and chat with, you can learn alot. The great thing is, he's got a lot to share and he's happy to sit there and shoot the chit with you all day about the topic at hand (unless he was just being nice to me at the last expo haha). All joking aside, the man puts down some fur and he's one of the nicest good guys out there at the sport. I believe my lesson was get lots, and lots, and even more property (like hit 4-5 different counties in a weekend kind of property!) Good to hear you gave a seminar Kirk, you're a class act man!

DJ,
Thanks appreciate the compliment.  You are right.  If you get me talking predators standby because it may be a while before I shut up lol.  I hunt all over and the more property the better.  I came off a very exciting season and had alot of fun.  Hunting predators has been my way of life for quite a few years now and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  Hopefully, you had a good season with many fine memories.
