Title: Calling Tips
Post by: mountainmen80 on February 15, 2012, 08:53:13 PM
Hey guys I'm a new to predator hunting and was wondering what calls would be good to use at this time of year. I've been out a few times and mainly use distress calls. Would it hurt to try mating or locator calls?

I think canine vocalizations work well, this time of year

The female challenge howl would the one I'd start with!

I like the female invitation howl. If I get a challenge I usually challenge back maybe bark a couple times. I find that its better to reply to a challenge and then shut up unless you want to do a distress sound a couple minutes later.
