I'm going to do some hand loading for my .22-.250, I'm trying to put together a list of what all I need to pick up, so I'm still not sure what all I need. Right now my list says:
RCBS die set (not sure what I'm looking at when I go into the store)
4350 powder
"large rifle primers"
Brass
55 grain Hornady Vmax balls
Anyone got any info for me that'd be great since I'm just starting out.
Ryan.

Micrometer..to measure case length ;)
Primer pocket brush to clean primer pocket once shot :P
Case trimmer and deburring tool :o

dont forget a shell holder to hold your 22-250 shell in the press. Shell holder RCBS 003

What all comes in a die set? I'm so lost right now.

2 dies and a shell holder
usually one die in the set will resize and de-prime the case.
and the other will seat the bullet.
you do have a powder scale, right?

I got a "rock chucker master reloading kit" so it has basicly everything minus the dies I believe. Just not something I know anything about

I highly recommend you inventory your stuff....then go and sit with someone who reloads and watch the whole process. This may sound strange....but it should answer alot of your questions and remember...a picture is worth a thousand words..but in that case your eyes would be seeing the picture and recording it in your brain... ;)

I had a friend show me step by step before I even tried reloading. Most of the information you can get from online. I actually wasted a good number of casings when I first started trying to learn. I would practice on an unprimed case. You could call around to smaller shops to get better info also. Stay away from Gander Mountain they are phasing it out so they have hardly any supplies.

If you can't find anyone near you to help you get started you are welcome to come to DuBois and I will help you get started loading. Just bring your brass and rifle if that's all you got right now. I have a load for 22-250 using IMR 3031 and Speer 52 gr HP's, shoots three shot one hole groups at 100 yd. in my 22-250.
