Ernie wilsons tripods are good and steady.

ernies rests are top of the line, ultrec engineerring  and bog pod  also make nice tripods or building one yourself works too. i cut up an old rest and adapted it to mount on a set of surveyor transit legs, used stuff i had layin around, workin on a new setup with more adjustability.
