Title: Waiting
Post by: recurve on November 29, 2011, 04:11:01 PM
Just curious since I'm new to this I'm waiting till after deer season to really start chasing them hard anyone else slack off these couple weeks kinda figure there are enough gut piles to keep them occupied anyway. :P

I'm new as well. But I would say no. Reason being all the critters out there, including some birds, I've seen gut piles disappear over night. I can't imagine the would last a couple of weeks, unless maybe covered by a good snow

I definately slow down over deer season but I don't stop completely.  Still plenty of food out there for the critters and the gut piles are a bonus.

If I get a yote in front of me I will definitely shoot!
