I love the color on these guys. I'd rather mess with a rattler anyday over a copperhead!!

I too like to see copper heads snakes, but them bitty little buggers like to strike at everything.
I posted a picture of Tim holding the snake with snake tongs on my on my web page but the color is not as nice. I used my I phone camera for the picture. I hope this weekend at the PPHA camp out we get Tim to take us to some more spots and we have good snake hunting weather to get more pictures.

Same terrain but a little lower in elevation (1200) and more overgrown. He was small (15-16 inches) and nasty. Ernie I intend on going back to the gamelands early Saturday where I found the shed. Don't want to hunt too long as I need to entertain back at the campground.
I am heading north Just for the day on July 9th. If you wanna go let me know. It will be a long and tiring day but I can guarantee you snakes and plenty of them.

Yea, I agree, hunt just a little. To much going on in one day. I might be up hunting snakes with ya, not sure yet.
