T-20 Olt...has a unique rabbit sound.. You can also howl with it too... However I was a bit disappointed during the last cold winter hunt... Not more then 30 seconds into my rabbit distress sound my saliva froze in the closed reed and I had to go to many of the open reeds that I carry around my neck..All these years I thought the T20 had a plastic reed.. I learned other wise the other night..I do own a couple of them..They do come in black with a green barrel and camo too....Next time I'm going to sing the rabbit blues with the T20 it's going to be in October and the November time frame..Remember now..It can Howl and the rabbit sound is not like any other closed reed call..

Whats it made out of UB?

They either had a metal or mylar reed in them. They also are adjustable for sound. But a little movement goes a long ways, the reed bridge are real short. Made 1954, until ?

I've got the one on the right. I didn't know they came with a metal reed. One night I had it freeze up and my brother thought it a good idea to pull it apart in the field at night in the snow. He dropped the wedge piece (don't know proper name). Took a long time to find that piece in the snow and even longer to retune. I still can't get it to sound like it use to and I've killed alot of critters with it.........
Thanks Buckweat.

The three calls on the left in order as close as I know are, 1955, 1954,1957 yours is 1958 or newer. 1954 is as old as they go.

I know when I first tried to retune this thing I found one similar at a store and took it apart to see where it was set and tried to get mine close. Any tips or just keep messing with it. I"ve got it close but it could be better. Like UB said a little bit goes a long ways.

I actually have 4 T20's two camo's and two green barreled.. The one I had on the hunt surely had the metal reed in it. Wish it was the Mylar reed!!! I will have to pull out the two camo ones to see if they have the Mylar reed...My other green barreled T20 one I have as a set of other plastic Olt calls.. I put them in a shadow book and they look real nice displayed like that..
If you guys never tried it.. Try doing a Howl with your T20. Sounds like a nice high pitched female..
