Now that will be neat to see... Wonder why his coyote tried to do a nose job instead of going for the jugular vein???

I think the coyote was mad because the doe was talking about him so he bit him in the nose. I get mad when they talk about me too. Alothough I never had the urge to bite a doe on the nose.

that is the best pic of have sorry.

as soon as i saw it i knew it was a bite mark, it looked like when you take a bite out of a sandwich.  here is my opinion, the coyote chased the doe and lunged at its neck and when it did the doe dropped its head and the coyote got it in the nose.  i would also think from that position that yote probably took a couple of kicks with the front leg, maybe why it got away.  who knows, it may not even be a bite mark but it sure looks like one.

Also could have been maybe more then one coyote... Hold the head steady while others tackle it...I have seen coyote lately running in  pairs or packs. Even in October..Things are acting more like wolves then the western coyote...Also the howling have been high pitched and low pitched so I know there are more then one at any given time..

I know it's a doe but I think the coyote took it's red nose?
