Some people frown on coyote hunts for money. Me....I do enjoy that weekend. I hunt with my brother and nephew. I have hunted with my son a few times and friends from Basspro when I worked there too... Normally it a tough time to hunt...Snow that goes up to your neck...Winds that are not even logical to hunt in... However we always have a good time...
Just mailed my application in this year again...Looking forward to hunting again this year with my brother and nephew. Hoping this year for calm winds and snow but not 4 feet of frozen ice on the ground like last year...

Im with you UB its a good fun time and ive been lucky enough to score during this hunt hopefully i do it again this year ps UB they still never put my name back on the kill list that year but thanks to you i have a copy of the original kill list

Bees still sad because you are a part of Mosquito Creek Coyote History that has not been updated with correct data...See down the road...Your grandchildren grandchildren would have seen your name in some official Mosquito Creek Club Documents.. You should still try to pursue correction of the official hunt data. All it takes is one of their officer that will listen to you....
See this year they already issued in their 2010-2011 Newsletter stats from 1992-2010 of coyote kill stats.

I like that weekend to. Me and my bother in law been hunting in that hunt for 5 years so far and last year we were lucky enough to kill. It does make you feel pretty good taking a coyote during that hunt. We will continue to hunt that weekend for many years to come.

I just got my card back yesterday. This will be my first year in any hunts. People have been after me to get in some hunts so this year is my first. I sure didn't do any good last weekend. I guess its my fault because I quit from the noisy snow. Hopefully for mosuito creek hunt the woods will be quiet and the coyotes will be in the same area. Good luck to all...

got mine #2459-might hunt here at home Friday and head to Potter Co. for the rest of the weekend-good luck to all and have a great day-Lloyd

Neat that the hunt is after fox season... This coming week Mon, Tues, Weds, ... Best to be in the woods with your siren locating where the coyotes are that you don't know about.. Grant you they might not be there during the Mosquito Creek Hunt timeframe.. But it's still more positive.. Tell you what however if I'm poking around and decide to call a few places for coyotes.. if one comes to the call...It's getting shot....
For The Uncle Buck Contest that is open all year round for coyotes!!!!!!!No prize money but it feels so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking of doing the same thing. My luck I will call in a heavy male or female. Like you said, it sure feels good to kill em and think of all the animals that will be alive in the next year from another coyotes death. I need to check out some new spots and do some locating and then hope for the best....

Is it to late to register for this hunt?

I am not sure. Go to www.mosquitocreeksportsmen.com and check it out. You might have to drive to the club headquarters to enter. I just checked and you can register till Thursday Feb. 24
