last time I heard...if you had permission on both sides of a road...you could make a shot across a road...as long as the bullet path was well over the travelers below? but if he was hunting in the woods between the lanes...thats not really smart at all

Thomas Jefferson was not totally correct.  " Not All Men Are Created Equal!" Especially when it comes to hunting in the middle of an interstate highway.

That guy is an idiot but in the same breath, Pennsylvania ruins most of the best hunting spots by putting roads through them instead of fixing the ones we have. Most people in this area hunt right off the toll road from Large to Brownsville for fox, turkey and deer. More hunters, more established structures and less hunting areas. It's bound to happen sooner or later.

I don't know where this guy was and I'm not defending what he did, but there are parts of I-80 that have 250+ yds. between the lanes. Would that still be considered on the highway even if he is 25 yds from either lane. And what about the guys that set up on the banks of 322 at the seven mountains resevior and shoot accross the highway to the other ridge. This is still within the right of way but off the highway.

Tough where I'm at.  Most farms are posted and when you knock to ask.  They tell you to get off their property.  This coming spring I'm going to be knocking on doors in Berks and Lehigh.  However, on a good note I got permission to hunt coyotes on a farm across from my in-laws.  The farmers son-in-law said as long as I'm not hunting his deer kill all the coyotes I want.  This farm is across the road from another farm I hunt for Predators.  It's probably 300-400 acres between the 2.
