Title: Hallows Eve Coyote!!!
Post by: bootmud on October 31, 2010, 02:08:07 AM
Nite Caller and myself headed out this evening for some predator hunting.  We were making the 3rd and last stand on the first farm we hunted.

Previous years we've called in greys and coyotes on this farm so we used the Griz-M-Gray and the Backstabber predator calls.  About 15 minutes into the stand I had eyes about 80 - 100 yds off to my left.  I continued with the call for another few seconds and once the coyote started closer I swithced on the gun light.

Now at, I'm guessing 80 yds I put the IR dot of the 22 Hornet ont he chest / brisket and pulled the trigger.  We called for a few more minutes till we noticed the coyote was floppin around.

We moved closer and I gave him one more shot thru the lung area to finish him off.  Anyhow, it was a 37 lb Franklin Co. coyte.  We came back to the house to skin it out and now we're headed back out now to do some more hunting.

Nice job Curtis, Called in a coyote myself last night. Coyote came in at over 200 yards. I was using a Tweety call. My shooter finally saw the coyote at 50 yards in the scope but failed to shoot fast enough. WANTED someone who can hit something. LOL
