-
not sure which day I will be attending. I will camping with the family in the sproul state forest that weekend. either gonna make the luncheon or checkin. depends on how well I do on friday night.
-
Not sure yet.
-
I'm booked..... Friday nite and Sat nite!! ;D
-
Awful Quiet about who wants to play!!!! :P Usually by now there is a little razzin going on...might be a quiet weekend and I win everything!!! Just based on my good looks!!! :D
-
I will be there but staying at my buddys camp in Sinnamohoning. May the best predator hunter win.
-
I noticed that as well goose. whatever I kill this year will be above I80 and between district 5 and 1. I am heading north on thurs morn. plannin on doin some grouse and turkey hunting till friday night and then plan on hitting it hard friday night into sat morn. depending on what I come up with will depend on if I will be making it to checkin or to the luncheon.
-
two questions. can I skin my animals. and also can anyone checkin critters at lunch if they cant make it to the checkin the next day?
-
Was wondering about the skinning also? It's supposed to be warm. May have to freeze them otherwise.
-
which both situations present a problem for me. I don't have anyway to freeze or keep cool. I can skin a critter out and stick in a bag in the cooler however.
-
The Glace boys use to keep them on dry ice.. Made me laugh they open the containers and had to wear rubber gloves so not to get burned. However it worked.. It kept the critters fresh....
-
I've seen them skunned in past years.. :-\..I hope we can skun them.. :(..Coyotes don't like to turn loose of their hide anyway, and when cold it's nasty... :-[
Question is: round or skunned, are they both legal for check-in? ???
-
Not really UB, those things were rank everytime I saw them. Would bet there was some problems with some of them slipping later. If they skinned them?
-
thats what I was thinking. they were pretty stinky.
-
I intend to make the luncheon on Sat. if at all possible.
Points or no points if I am fortunate enought to kill something it will be getting skinned as I normally do. I'm not going to let fur spoil for any reason. ;)
-
OK Mr. bossy britches!! ;D
-
OK Mr. bossy britches!! ;D
Don't make me cry. I have feelings to you know! :P
-
Your not allowed to have feelings. Your a short tuff predator hunter. ;D
-
Well I don't know about the tuff part. ;)
-
I hear there may be a peeping tom at your cabin Saturday night. Invite him in for a beer! Or at least give him something to peep at.
OH, PS, don't shoot him!!
-
I may be out predator hunting. He can peep at my dad. I just don't want to know what he sees! :o
-

At lunch on Sat. there was a total of 14 people with everyone receiving a door price and some receiving 2.
I want to thank everyone who donated a door prizes and participated in the hunt hope to see you all again next yr.
As for the winners of the hunt we had a total of 9 fox turned in with Erine Wilson taking first with 7 fox and Bob Rozzo taking 2nd with 1 fox.
The other fox was taken by myself .
-
Wow!! look at the bags under the eyes!
Congrats Ernie!!!! great job.
Thanks to you Jeff for letting me hunt with you, loosing the coin toss, and not shooting my fox first.
Why do I look taller than the both of you?
-
Great job everyone. Sounds like another successful North Central hunt. Congrats to Ernie and Bob.
-
First off thank you to CoyoteJeff for keeping the tradition alive for the NorthCentral Hunt!
Ernie, great job on all the foxes nice shootin! :)
Bob, good to see you again and congrats on the gray! ;)
My hats off to another great hunt.
-
Actually there was one more fox harvested... I wish I could have been at the check in but I had to get home to watch the kids while mother had here time out.
Sat. nite I took this female gray fox.... and get this on my Berkley digital fish scale it weighed 13 lbs. 3 oz. :o It literally looked like a coon when skinnin. There was so much fat I couldn't believe it. Usually the fox that I skin are hide/meat... not really much fat at all.
Anyhow here's the old gal.. doesn't really look that big without another fox for comparison.
