Title: Archery what does a compound and accessories cost now?

I use to hunt with a recurved back in the 70's but quit...Figure I just did not practice enough and it was just not fair to the whittail population  to be a Jack Of All Hunters.

Wow I go through the archery departments in stores or look at the Cabelas catalog....What does it cost this day and age for a compound bow and the accessories you need to use that bow?

about as much as a medium/higher grade rifle. around $800 for a good bow accessories (sights,quiver,rest,peep,arrows ect ect $300+
