Holy Cow. That thing is huge. Nice color to it also. I'm going to say 52 pounds.

Yea Old Buckwheat got a nice cat also. We called in 5 cats in four hours one night. Buckwheat's rifle rest worked perfect.

Looks like you're about to bust a few vein's holding that cat so I will go with 186.6 pounds. I think I'm probably the closest guess.

Nice looking cat FP51. Congratulations. Wish Pa. cats had spots like that.

Story. -----It was my turn to get up in the high rack. Buckwheat was in the back seat of the truck with the window down. We drove up to a large patch of castus and decided to call it. After letting out 3 sets of screams with the Sceery open reed call we say eyes comming in at about 150 yards. Buckwheat started to squeek in the cat from there. Closer and closer the bobcat came. The cat was within 100 yards now and it stopped so i fired with my 204 encore. Holy smokes i missed. Cat took off to the left. Now we moved the red light to the right. ANOTHER CAT and another set of eyes. I watched his eyes for ten minutes but could not get a shot. We now moved the red lens back to were the orginal cat was. I continued to call with the Sceery call. Guess what the first cat came back and was sitting there less than 50 yards away. Games up i got that cat.

So how heavy?
-
This female cat weighted 26 1/2 pounds. ( Amazing what a photo will do.) If Big ben had taken the right picture his 30lb bobcat would have looked like it weight 200 lbs. LOL.
-
Correct Earl! I learned to always play the camera. I always get the person taking the pic to get a little lower that the bucks head to make the rack look bigger. ;) Very nice cat and I'm glad you posted the pic.

that is a very pretty cat earl. allmost looks like an ocelot. thats a pretty big female isn't it?

Ben this was a good size female bobcat. I have seen male Texas bobcats push 40lbs +.
