I know most of you guys use mouth calls. I had success calling in fox with the back stabber in the spring while hunting coyotes. So, that is not a problem for me. I plan on using my Power Dogg more this fall due to wanting to be able to hold the gun steady.
The question I have is this. You guys that use the Power Dogg, what sound do you start with?

IMO the Powerdogg is one of the best (COYOTE CALLING) machines one can own........I have called in three with mine...My brother has called in three with his, I know a couple members on here that have called in coyotes with their's too. let see 4 hunters and we have called in about 10 different coyotes with our Powerdoggs....
I got mine for $99.00 at Gander Mountain.....How could I complain about a $99.00 caller...Now I have seen them at Cabelas for $149.00. Still not half bad....Just say you use your Cabela bucks and you can get it cheaper then the$149.00 or if they have an offer if you spend so much you get $75.00 off. So this is one way you can get a cheap outstanding coyote caller.
Why IMO the Powerdogg works:
First of all we kind of know how to play with the coyotes brain..............So we have some experince outsmarting coyotes...
Second the sounds on the Powerdogg are made by Randy Anderson...So when Randy Anderson does the Challenge...It be a challenge. If he does the Invitation Howl....It be an female invitation howl...Group howl ....It be his group howl...Coyote pup...Yep it sounds like a realistic coyote pup since it's Randy Anderson doing the sound on the caller.....
I think there is something special about the shape of the cone speaker on the powerdogg....
Always start of when you use the Powerdogg that you start off with the Interrogation Howl....
Now what you do after that is up to you....Learn how to play with their brain. Gaps of silence...Howl, pups, food sounds....All make a wise coyote drop their guard and come in for a look see......
The Powerdogg....An outstanding caller to use if you want to hunt coyotes by yourself...Remember to hang it from a tree or elevate it off the ground so the remote works better....

If the problem might be holding the gun steady, a bulb squeaker taped to the gun might be used at the end.
