Title: Elk Tag Anyone?
Post by: Lookn4Fur on July 19, 2009, 09:02:06 PM
Went Snake hunting in Cameron County this weekend.  It was a fantastic weekend for animals.  I saw Turkeys, Deer, Bear, Raccoon, Grey Fox, Coyote, Elk and of course Rattle Snakes.  I think I'm going to start applying for an Elk tag.  Check this guy out and it's only July.

I would love to go snake hunting but are there lots of special regs as far as the harvest and must you have a special permit

Swarter, good luck with drawing a tag.  It sure would be a great trophy.

Waterfowler, yes you need a permit from the Fish Commission.  The season runs from the second Saturday in June until the end of July.  Better wait until next year and research a little........Tim
