A buddy and I were out last night, and he got a real scare. He was the one scared, because he was the one that watched this unfold. It seems an owl liked the sounds we were making, and was on his way for my head until I turned my head to scan to the left. At that point he was about a foot from my head and veered off and landed in a nearby tree.
He was there for a while, then took flight (which I got a blurry picture of) and landed in another tree. Who knows how long he stayed. We had the white light on him on full brightness, we were talking (out loud, as we wanted to see what would make him spook). He stayed and was still there when we left.
