Bob, no problem but you gotta dig me up a ton also.  Don't know if I will get up to Potter County in time to get my own.  Unless you wanna make a road trip with me some weekend?

Opps!!!Lookn4fur...sorry I thought your were talking about shrooms.... LOL I do have to take a leak when I hunt shrooms. Watch where you take a leak when shrooming or looking for leeks.. They, the shrooms and the leeks can become tainted if leaked upon...

Leglifter probably a bit earlier in your area.. However come this week you should start to find them.. I always find the good Morel's around where the False Morels grow.. bad thing is some people eat these False Morel's.  Some people get poisoned while other don't.. As you know it's best to leave them alone.. Plenty of good Morel around.. The only Shroomers still alive are the smart ones...

Found 13 morels yesterday. 7 were the black morels and 6 were the gray (white) morels. It seems to be a little early yet. My one friend found 25 yesterday and they were almost all the black morels. Sure do taste good...

Decided to brave the rain on Saturday morning and look for morels with BigBen.  We found eight.  Ben and I think it is a little early yet.  I also saw a turkey.  I really enjoyed myself getting out in the mountain and being able to talk freely and not have to worry about spooking predators.  I had a good time Ben, thanks for asking me along.

Does anyone know if it hurts the morels to pick every one you find? I wasn't sure if I should leave some "for seed" or keep all that I find. I would hate to ruin some good spots by keeping them all. Also, I wondered if the spores would spread if you carry them in a bag with small holes? (onion bag) I have some great spots to find them, but am hesitant to get them all.
