I've heard the curs make a good squirrel dog too!

I was going to say something similar as Scott.  If you open the door of the crate when the dog fusses, he is training you!  He associates barking or whining with getting his door opened.   He also trained you where he sits when riding in the car! ;)  But if a pup don't ride home on someones lap, they probably don't deserve a dog.

No offense: our Bigben (PPHA) is a good guy - and Big Ben (Steelers) is my favorite QB, but I don't think its a fitting name for our pup ... we'll keep it at Dixie!  :D
