Never been real big fan on those types of count studys.
To much hit or miss findings.Turkey move to much and those same turkeys can be counted by 3 different people and look like 3 different flocks on a count. I see it happen in my area all the time.
I think a real study would be what is found dead on roads in PA. Each person should have a road a person picks and count what is dead on that specific road each day if possible. The days not driven should be marked as not diven. I think this would tell you more on the game in an area then anything else. Maybe not real good for turkey but better then the way they do it with people just saying what they see every now and then.

What the heck! Why you Bitching to me?
Goosebumps is the one that drug your kid into this link.
The worm thing is over for the year. I am on to a new endeavor. I have bigger and better things year. Been night latching all my #3 traps for a new adventure. I will report back when my finger heals. With only one good arm and sore pointer finger typing is slow with my thumb.

Buckwheat, you do more with one good arm than most guys with two good arms.
Don't screw up your trigger finger in those #3's.

Years back, I participated in a Pheasant survey.
Game Commission took us to 3 areas. We lined up as if we were on Deer drive.
We counted very few in the 3 areas.
Then Game Warren said we were going to Don Spancake's property.
I knew this property well, as Don was a very close friend. Posted tighter than Bull's Butt for years. I Rabbit & Deer hunted there and also trapped for Don.
The previous season, PGC stocked Pheasants on neighboring properties and most found their way to Don's 'posted property' at a fast pace and held there.
Don owned 12-15 Beagles and was a 'Rabbit Man'. The Pheasants were messing up his training Beagles and hunting Rabbits.
In any event, I told the Game Warren conducting the survey that day about knowing Don's property.
Why do you want to count a honey hole where it's posted to general public. I felt it wouldn't give a fair count to the survey. The Game Warren agreed with me but made the comment that it would boost the survey numbers. Something I felt unfair. We called it a day and didn't go to Don's property.

And so it begins.  The Old Coots Club is turning on each other.  I knew it was only a matter of time that the whole retirement thing would wear thin.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

There are tons of reason not to count these type of setups for any kind of survey or research. Just another way to get non facts and back them up with nothing more then hearsay.

Timmy,Timmy,Timmy sorry you read that. I am infavor of the adult section the peanut section also. What you read is just men talking. I know it sounds scary to you and maybe a fight or a boogeyman might show up. But think of like just like adults at the kitchen table talking and the adults didn't know you were there listening and say certain things around you they perhaps should have whispered or weighted until you leave the table. But in another 30 years or so you will not be so excited about the things you read and hear. As far as the old guys at each other throats. We're way too busy being kids.
